
At a scrap yard in Ashaiman, near the China Mall, fire has destroyed multiple containers, resulting in significant property damage.
On Monday, December 30, the fire damaged about 17 containers along with other valuables worth millions of Ghanaian cedis. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
Firefighters from Ashaiman and Tema collaborated to suppress the fire, sending out many fire tenders to stop additional damage. To find out what caused the fire, investigations are being conducted.The cause of the fire remains undetermined. The Ghana Fire Service said investigations are currently underway.
Businesses and scrap yard owners were advised by the GNFS to be alert to weather changes.
